Summer Time

It has been so hot lately, that everyone just looks like this all the time. It was so hot in the city the other day that people were skating around in their underwear. Well, just Nick was I guess. But, it was hotter than a Mother Fucker too. He laid his laundry out on the rail and threw in a boardslide for good measure.

Nick with the longest boardslide of the day on the top of the rail.

4th of July

Such a display of patriotism is almost poetic, isn't it.

Saturday July 3rd

3 PM- Out of work

3:30 PM- Out if the shower

4:15 PM- Leave for train

4:42 PM- Miss train by two minutes

5 PM- Pat shows up more than two minutes late

5:30 PM- After sitting on our asses trying to figure out what to do for a half an hour, we decide to drive into Brooklyn.

5:35 PM- Pat locks his keys and cell phone in his car

6 PM- Leave the train station toward Wading River and a spare set of keys.

7 PM- Return to the train station, retrieve phone and keys, and leave for brooklyn.

8 PM- Arrive in Brooklyn and park in some street neither of us know.

9:30 PM- Get on the bus Philly Bound

12:15 AM- Walk in the door of Brysons apartment....finally there!!

Thats pretty much the story of the trip to Philly for the 4th. Traveling was not our forte, we had seen smoother journeys in our time. But, one thing that was on for the trip was full on, no holds barred skateboarding. Pat, Bryson, and Nick all killed it all day, along with everyone else at the park. Harry Potter was there and did the craziest Frontside grab into the square bowl I had ever seen. Well the photos tell the story better than I can so....Here you go.

Pat Hobbs Crail Slide

Fs air

Fs lip around the corner

Rock rewind

Shooting fire works perpendicular

Big Ollie...He even looks shocked

Pat Hobbs...this is so gnarly backside lip, revert over that old ass spine

and for those who wondered, this is the color white after one full session at F.D.Gnar.

Chelsea Piers Park

Pat with a bs 360 melon!!

The new park in NYC is so right. Normally in New York every skate park is ok to good. Everything is fun but there is one or two things they just put in the wrong spot, or just got built funny. There was nothing wrong with this park, the design is real fast and real fun. My only complaint would be the volume of was nuts how many people were there. I must have gotten into 3 or 4 collisions and about 13 close calls. All in all no helmet, no money, concrete park in NYC...I LIKE IT!!!!!

Another day-venture out to nueter...and another hammer was dropped on the door. James Kickflipped off the ramp we made out of the first door and over the other door. It was tight!!! Two kickflips, two photos and then it was all about sitting. Good Day

Good Ol' Saint Pat

KIckflip number 4 of 4 on the day for Bryson.....Not that any of them were that bad but he's a bit of a perfectionist.

So Saint Patrick's Day this year, I decided to spend in NYC. I avoided all of the traffic, and parades, and most of the drunken morons that took the train in with me by hiding away under the bridges downtown. We spent most of our day under the Manhattan Bridge, under the influence. Actually minus our trip under the Brooklyn Bridge, we spent all of our time at the Manhattan Skatepark. No photos really happened at the banks but, it was a necessary detour knowing they are being closed down soon. ]
